As a species we most definitely take our human meat sacks for granted. I am fresh to 40, but few years ago was diagnosed with a weak pelvic floor and sent to a sex therapist that specialized in sexual trauma. My pelvic floor became weak due to me being in constant defense mode, keeping all

muscles tight, and never relaxing them. This is much more common than you think, and I think us woman especially know the true stats on how many of us have been violated. Anyway not to be TOO serious. SO, moral of story, after children, and over tensed pelvic floor, peeing myself every time I laughed or sneezed, and therapy of all sorts. 🤔
Years later, I bought myself a weighted hula hoop for maintaining my pelvic floor the other day. They say core muscles contribute to health of your pelvic floor. So, of course I had to be strategic about this purchase. Why? You ask. Well, I much rather get a work out from doing a laborious job than working out in a gym and all that jazz. I have most definitely changed my thinking over the years for many reasons we wont get into today. So, why a pink weighted hoopla hoop? Well they say it’s amazing for core/pelvic floor muscles. I never could hoopla hoop, took me up til about a month from my 40th bday to realize that engaging your core is the key, not swinging my ass around in circular motion. I bought pink, so I could give myself a good rough talking to when I decide in middle of hoolaing that I want to give up, I can start in with “Ohh gunna let a lil pink kick your ass, gunna let lil pink one baller break you down” This is my motivational self talk. To keep me going.
I suppose according to got a lot of self help books this isn’t exactly the healthiest way of speaking to oneself, however, it works, and it’s outta love for myself, so really it does work. But I gotta tell you the absolute best fucking thing about this whole experience, besides it does work as long as you engage your core during the work out; is that I jog on my treadmill for 20-30 mins 5-6x a day, then I head to my room to hoola for same allotted time. This has been going on for about 2 weeks so far with the hoolaing being a new addition to my routine. I come out of my room after my hoola time, to jump in shower. My roommate steps towards me with her hands a bit up and says “I have to ask cuz your son is home often but…(pause and switch in direction) and you be in a good mood after your works outs everyday, but what’s that loud vibrating coming from your room after every time you run on treadmill?”
