Although I’m getting stronger, it is still a challenge for me to move my bike around manually. Alice suggested, maybe, a lighter bike? After riding hers and checking out some other bikes, I thought maybe it would be a good idea. I really love my bike and it is the best riding bike I’ve ever been on in 45 years, so I’m not really into getting another bike. But what the hell, worth checking out.
So, we were at the Harley dealer and I was checking out a brand new Heritage Softail that the sales guy thought might work for me. I sat on it and tried moving it around a bit. When I moved the bike back into its spot, I forgot to put the kickstand down before I got off. Now that was bad enough, but as the bike was going down, all I could think of was, OMG, it’s going to hit the next bike, and OMG, then I’ll have two brand new bikes on the show floor banged up. So, I did my best to keep the handlebars from ramming the next bike. Success! No damage to either bike and only minor damage to my hand, but no other serious injuries. I didn’t even fall. 24 hours later, though, I was feeling the pain. A trip to the chiropractor, a few days rest, bath in Epsom Salts and some ice, and I’m all set to go again! Great news for me that I have gotten stronger and didn’t strain or break anything.
